As an internet business, we realise that shipping costs can sometimes turn a bargain into a somewhat less attractive purchase. As such, we have tried to find a solution that works fairly for both you and us. We want you guys to be happy with the products you order and shipping charges incurred in getting your order delivered.
We have standard shipping charges set into our website based on customer postcode. We've tried to make these as fair as possible. However, sometimes it just doesn't seem to add up. If that happens just drop us a line and we'll be happy to recalculate your freight cost on the time proven system of common sense. This way, you only pay for the shipping cost actually incurred.
Australian Volleyball Warehouse uses a combination of Australia Post and couriers to handle its freight requirements. Please ensure someone will be at your shipping address during working hours to receive your order. Should your order be shipped via courier a signature will be required as proof of delivery.
Generally speaking small orders will be shipped via Australia Post and larger orders will be shipped via courier. Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to variations in destination. The table below should be used as a rough guide only.

Free Freight For Orders Over $300?
AVW offers FREE FREIGHT on orders over $300 to metro customers.
Orders containing bulky items are excluded from all free freight offers.
Deliveries outside the metro area are excluded from all free freight offers.
Our postcode checker will apply free freight to your order if you meet the requirements for order value, delivery location and there's no "bulky items" in your order.
At no time does free freight ever apply to Express Post deliveries.
Regular or Express Shipping?
Choosing our REGULAR shipping option will generally see small orders shipped by Aust Post. Larger orders will travel by road freight using a courier service.
EXPRESS services are also available to Australian customers at extra cost. These orders are shipped via AusPost Express Post for orders up to 5kg and TNT-FedEx for orders over 5kg in size/weight.
Customers please note for express orders to be processed the same day, orders must be placed before 12 noon. Orders placed after 12 noon will be processed as quickly as possible. They may actually end up getting dispatched the same day. We just cannot guarantee that because we don't know exactly what time freight providers will collect from us each day. AusPost come any time between 1pm-4pm daily to collect from us.
Some regional areas will fall outside the express post network. Please be aware if this applies to you. Once an item leaves us we cannot alter the delivery method or interrupt the delivery process.
Bulky Goods Freight
It's a fact of life that some items we sell simply don't fit within any kind of pre-determined freight cost/location system. For this reason you'll find some products in our catalog are flagged as "bulky goods".
When bulky goods are purchased our website will notify the customer (multiple times) that freight charges will be added to their order after consultation with the customer. Quite simply it's the only fair way we can do things. We will contact you, give you all the options and proceed only after you've paid the agreed freight cost.
It's impossible to have pre-determined freight costs for bulky goods because something like a referee stand on a pallet will be drastically different in shipping cost to something like a single set of antenna.
International Deliveries
International orders are always sent via insured airmail with Australia Post. Customers may choose between Economy Air or Express Air after considering cost and time implications.
Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to variations in destination nad processing of customs clearances. The following can be used as a rough guide.
New Zealand via Economy Air, 3-7 days
New Zealand via Express Air, 2-4 days
International via Express Air, 5-10 days
International via Economy Air, 14-28 days
Small orders under AUS$300 will incur the following charges per order.
New Zealand via Economy Air - AU$35.00 for a 3kg bag
New Zealand via Economy Air - AU$18.00 for a 500g bag
All international orders to a value over AUS$300 will require a shipping quote which must be authorised by the customer before the order is shipped.
Any customs, duty, tax and import charges incurred on international shipments are the responsibility of the buyer. Please ensure you are familiar with your local importation rules and charges to avoid any unexpected costs.
